1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the GDPR is the operator named in the Legal notice; the full name and postal address are stated there. The controller can be contacted by email at business@funtrades.de. No data protection officer is appointed, as this is not legally required for a website of this nature and scale.
2. What data we collect
FunTrades does not collect personal data from you directly. This website is a static, read-only publication. Specifically, it has:
- no user accounts, registration, or login;
- no contact forms, comment fields, newsletter, or uploads;
- no online shop, payment processing, or e-commerce;
- no analytics, tracking pixels, profiling, or advertising;
- no tracking or marketing cookies.
The trading data shown in the journal is the operator's own published content. It is not your personal data and is not connected to you in any way.
3. Hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare)
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and delivered through Cloudflare's global content delivery network (CDN), operated by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
When you visit the website, Cloudflare automatically processes technical connection data in order to deliver the pages to you and to keep the site secure and available (including protection against attacks such as DDoS). This typically includes:
- your IP address;
- the date and time of the request;
- the page or file requested;
- the referrer URL, if any;
- your browser type, version, and operating system.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in the secure, stable and efficient operation of the website). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR (Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum) is in place. We do not keep separate server log files of our own; this data is processed by Cloudflare in accordance with its own data processing terms and retention periods, and is not used to identify you.
Transfer to a third country (USA). Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States, so this processing involves a transfer to a third country within the meaning of Chapter V of the GDPR. The transfer is safeguarded by Cloudflare's certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR, which are incorporated into Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum. You can review Cloudflare's privacy practices at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
4. Web fonts (self-hosted)
The fonts used on this website ("Fraunces", "Manrope", "JetBrains Mono", and "Caveat") are self-hosted: they are delivered directly from this website's own server along with the rest of the page. Your browser does not connect to Google Fonts or any other external font provider, and no IP address or other data is transmitted to Google or any third party in order to display the typography.
5. Local storage in your browser
The journal page stores a small preference in your browser's local storage (which view, Edge or Live, and which tab you last looked at) so the page remembers your choice on your next visit. This information is functional only, contains no personal data, stays on your device, and is never transmitted to us or any third party. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
6. Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own for tracking,
advertising, or analytics. Our hosting and CDN provider Cloudflare may set a
strictly necessary cookie (for example __cf_bm) to distinguish
human visitors from bots and to protect the site against attacks. Such cookies
are technically necessary for security and are exempt from consent under
§ 25(2) TDDDG; no tracking or advertising cookies are used.
7. External links
This website may link to external websites (for example the operator's profile on X / Twitter). When you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the data processing of external sites.
8. Data security
This website is served over an encrypted TLS/HTTPS connection to protect the transmission of data between your browser and the server.
9. Your rights under the GDPR
In relation to your personal data, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): to know what data is processed about you;
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): to have inaccurate data corrected;
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): to have your data deleted;
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) to processing based on legitimate interests;
- Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR) at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact the operator using the details in the Legal notice. Given the static nature of this site, in most cases we hold no data that identifies you; where this is the case we will tell you so.
10. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority competent for the operator is the data protection authority of the relevant German federal state.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. If analytics, embedded media, a contact form, or any other data-processing feature is added in future, this policy will be updated accordingly before that feature goes live.
