A high hit-rate model on NQ. When a candle closes through a fair value gap, the
gap is inverted and that close is my entry. Target: the nearest pool of
liquidity. Small wins, often.

TP at EQH
iFVG is the model I backtested on NASDAQ futures (NQ), mostly 1- to 5-minute
charts, built from three things, read together.
Fair value gap
The imbalance a fast candle leaves behind.
Inversion
Price closes through the gap and it flips sides.
Liquidity
Equal highs, equal lows or LRL as the target.
The mechanics
entry · stop · target
EntryOn the close through the FVG. That close is what turns it into an iFVG. No waiting for a retest.close
StopBeyond the iFVG or the entry candle. One R.1R
TargetThe nearest liquidity, even when it sits closer than 1R.~0.8R
Why small wins work
the margin of safety
The average win is 0.78R and every loss is a full 1R. At
that ratio the model only needs to win 56% of the time
to break even. In the backtest it won 84.3%. The gold
stretch between the two is the room it has before it stops working.

Margin: 28 points of win rate. Fees and slippage eat into it faster than on a 1:1 model, because each win is smaller.

What I actually check
the columns in my log
Check 01
Clean iFVG?
Is the gap obvious, or does it take squinting to see it? 75 of the 83 setups were marked clean.
Check 02
Higher-timeframe gap
Does the setup sit inside a higher-timeframe FVG, or did price just sweep a level instead?
Check 03
Which liquidity
EQH, EQL, LRL or a single high or low. EQH was the best target: 93% over 29 setups.
Check 04
Continuation or reversal
Continuation made +33.6R of the +41.7R. Reversals still paid, but much less.
Check 05
Timing
The 09:00 to 10:59 New York window holds the most setups and the best hit rate: 34 of 83, 91% won.

the FVG, that close is the entry, and price runs to the nearest liquidity. Click
